What are forward contract at HanzePay?

A forward transaction is a financial instrument that allows you to hedge the exchange rate risks of Forward foreign currency transactions.

If you expect to receive or pay an amount in a foreign currency in the coming weeks or months, a forward currency transaction can provide you with advance certainty about the exchange rate for that specific amount.

This way you can protect yourself against unwanted fluctuations in the exchange rate and you have clarity in advance about the amount you will receive or pay in your own currency.

How does it work at HanzePay?

In a forward contract we fix one exchange rate, also called the forward rate, for a certain amount and a certain period.

All Forward world payments in foreign currency will take place at this fixed exchange rate, until the balance is used up.
Booking a forward contract with HanzePay is simple and can easily be arranged through the platform. You indicate the period for which you expect payments and the total amount you want to cover

To lock a rate with a forward contract, a deposit of 3-10% is required, depending on the currency. Once the deposit is on the platform, you are able to book a forward contract.
